[1945]ヒラリー・メール事件とは何か。　ヒラリー・ベンガジ問題とは何か。

ヒラリー　を　ベンガジ事件のメール問題で、FBI(米連邦警察)が、告訴（charge、チャージ）しない、という　判断を　FBI長官の　ジェイムズ・コーミー　James Comey が、７月２日（火）に発表した。　このことへのアメリカのしっかりした人々からの強い批判、非難が起きている。　しかし、それらは日本では報道されない。

だが、アメリカ司法省は、「（ヒラリーを起訴 （　prosecutionプロセキューション）するかしないかは）まだ結論を出していない」と声明を出した。

司法省に検察官たちがいて、国家犯罪を捜査するFBIの連邦捜査官たちからの告発、告訴を受けて、検察官が、連邦裁判所に起訴する。　私、副島隆彦は、これは、国務長官だった者の、犯した重大な犯罪容疑であるから、indictment インダイトメント　大陪審起訴　に　相当すると思う。

ヒラリー　Hillary Clinton は、自分が凶悪な犯罪者であるのに、いけしゃーしゃ　と　今も大統領候補の最有力者として強気で傲慢に振る舞っている。ヒラリーが、どれぐらいの大ワルで大悪党（villainヴィラン　）　であるか、日本人の多くは、今もまだほとんど知らない。日本のヒラリーの子分ども（ 今の首相　以下。ネオコン勢力　）が、徹底的に　報道管制、思想統制をするからだ。

以下の、数日前に発売された、私の最新刊の『トランプ大統領とアメリカの真実』（　日本文芸社、2016年7月）を読めば分かるだろう。　このあと私の本から該当箇所を、５ページ分、そのまま載せるので、しっかりと読んでください。そのあと、事の重大さが分かった人は、この本を買って読んでください。

その前に、ロレッタ・リンチという黒人で女の　検事総長（司法長官）　U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch　が、不用意に、関係人である　ビル・クリントン元大統領　と　秘密で会ってゴソゴソ話した。その事実を、ドナルド・トランプ　が、勇敢に、自分の演説の中で、ガンガンと暴露し非難した。

私、副島隆彦も、FBI長官の「検察庁にヒラリーを告発しない」決定と、その前の、このビル・クリントンと　どこかの空港のVIPルームで　こそこそと会った、黒人女の検事総長　の　行動に怒る。

アメリカは、腐り果てている。　CIAの工作本部が、これまでに、外国の独裁者の大統領や国王を暗殺することに、アメリカ人は、知らん顔をしてきた。「それもアメリカの国益だろう」と。

ところが、アメリカ国内で、公然と違法行為、犯罪行為が行われ、証拠も出ているのに、それを連邦警察（FBI)が告訴せず、検事総長（司法長官）がおかしな動きをする、ということは、アメリカが腐り果てた、ということだ。

FBI　が汚れたら、　アメリカは終わりなのだ。　FBIの連邦保安官たちの、自分の良心（コンシュエンシャス）が、破られて、これでは、自分たちが犯罪に加担することになる、と分かって、それでも、　ヒラリーを告発、起訴できない、ということになると、アメリカの国家としての腐敗である。

トランプが、以下に載せる　演説で喚いているとおり、　「FBI の　Comey　長官の判断は、　”rigged” political system アメリカの国家システムの不正、歪み、腐敗　の証拠だ」　。　FBIまでが、汚れたらアメリカはおしまいだ。

逆から考えると、ヒラリーを支える、極悪（ごくあく）の勢力がアメリカ合衆国の国家体制の中に深く浸み込んでいて、ものすごい勢力になっているということだ。日本の安倍政権　の病気の症状　と全く同じだ。

何が、「日本会議のなんとか」が今、よく売れている、だ。日本会議が、著者を名誉棄損で訴えた、だ。　そんな本が売れる程度で、煙幕（えんまく）を張って、ガス抜きをする気か。もっとその後ろに、もうひとつ恐ろしい奇怪な宗教団体がいるだろ。

ヒラリーから何から何まで、を動かしている　Moonie　「統一教会」（今は、「世界統一なんかと家族連合」に変名だ、と。笑）という団体だ。本当に恐ろしいやつらだ。バチカンも絡んでいる。　このことを書かなければ本当の言論ではない。

これらヒラリー・メール事件関連　の発覚　のその前に、ブルメンソールというネオコンの親玉のひとりが、２０１４年９月に、ベンガジで殺された駐リビア・アメリカ大使のクリス・スティーブンスとのやりとりのメールが、ハッキングされて漏れて流れた。

その中に、「リビアのカダフィを殺した後の、１３４キロのリビア政府の金塊（ゴールド・インゴット）と、２００億ドル（２兆円）相当の武器、弾薬　を　シリアの反体制勢力に　引き渡す」内容が書かれていた。こういう事件が、次々に明るみに出ている。

この数日の激しい、アメリカ政界を揺るがす、国家犯罪（こっかはんざい）の全体像を示す、新聞記事は、後ろの方に　どんどん載せます。　一体、アメリカで、どのような大事（おおごと）が起きているかを、自分の脳（頭）でしっかり考えることが出来るだけの知能のある人は、じっくりとこれらの記事を精読しなさい。　それが出来ないなら、東アジア土人のまま、「ああ、日本に生まれて、シアワセだー」で、いつもの通りの馬鹿のまま生きていなさい。

ベンガジ事件を逃げ切ったヒラリー。しかし……

米下院で、2015年10月22日に「ベンガジ事件」を究明する特別調査委員会が開かれた。ヒラリーはこの委員会に呼びつけられた。この召喚、喚問（summon、サモン、subpoena サピーナ、召喚状　）を強気で押し切って、なんとかこの場を逃げ切った。

「ベンガジ事件」とは、リビアの第2の都市ベンガジで、クリス・スティーブンス米リビア大使が殺害された事件である（2012年9月11日）。

このクリス・スティーブンスは、国務長官だったヒラリーの直属の外交官で、CIAの人殺し部隊というか特殊部隊の責任者でもあった。スティーブンス大使はその前年に、自分が直接指揮をしてカダフィ大差を惨殺した。

リビアの特栽者カダフィ殺し（2011年10月20日）の最高責任者はヒラリーである。ヒラリーはカダフィが殺される2日前に、リビアの首都トリポリに自ら乗り込んでいる。そして暗殺部隊と写真に収まっている証拠写真がある。

この暗殺部隊はリビア人ではなくてアフガニスタン人である。彼らは自国の首都カブールに英雄として凱旋（がいせん）しようとした。だが、カブール空港に着陸しようとして「タリバーンの攻撃があって」輸送機ごと爆殺された。口封じで殺されたのだ。ヒラリーというのは、こういう恐ろしいことをやってきた女なのである。

このクリス・スティーブンス大使に、今のIS（アイエス、イスラム国）と同様の人間たちが襲いかかった。セラフィ（サラフィーヤ）というイスラム原理主義の活動家たちだ。実態はもうほとんどIS（アイエス）だ。彼らを自分は飼いならしているとスティーブンスは思っていた。

このとんでもない狂気の集団がクリス・スティーブンスを火事の炎で窒息死させたあと、路上で死体を引きずり回した。その映像がネットに流れて、それを自宅で見たヒラリーはゲロを吐いて倒れた。そして3ヵ月後の2012年末には、国務長官を辞めた。年末に軽い脳出血を起こしてワシントンで病院に入院した。

いったいあの時、何が起きていたのか？アメリカ政府は、カダフィ政権を崩壊させたあと、奪い取ったリビア軍の大量の兵器を、イスラム勢力（ただしアメリカの言うことを聞く武装勢力）に引き渡す秘密協定を結んだ。

ここには、レーガン時代のイラン・コントラ事件（1986年6月発覚）と同様の、裏側での政治工作が隠されている。（副島隆彦注記。　このイラン・コントラの大量の武器移送と、資金提供の実行責任者は、レーガンではなかった。その時の副大統領で、そのあと大統領になったジョージ・ブッシュ（父）であった。このことは、今では公然たる事実である）

米軍が捕獲した大量のリビア軍の兵器や物資を、今のシリアや北イラクに大量に移動させた。この軍事密約の武器取引を、殺害されたスティーブンス米大使が国務長官のヒラリーに逐一判断を仰（あお）ぎながら実行していたのである。このときの、この2人の通信内容が、まさしく「ヒラリー・メール」なのである。

スティーブンスは自分を殺しに来た者たちを、自分が十分に手なづけていたと勘違いしたのだ。飼い犬に手を咬（か）まれたのである。

スティーブンスと上司である国務長官ヒラリーとのこの交信記録の流出が、今も騒がれている「ヒラリーの公文書メール問題」である。この謀略政治の実行の証拠が公然と表に出たらヒラリーにとっては命取りだ。

国家行為として相当の犯罪行為の証拠が流出したのである。

カダフィを惨殺して（2011年10月20日）、リビアの国家資金をすべて、アメリカの特殊部隊（スペシャル・フォーシズ。CIAとの合同軍）が奪い取った。この資金おそらく200億ドル（2.4兆円）ぐらいが、今のIS（アイエス）の凶暴な7万人の傭兵部隊（マーシナリー）の軍事資金になったのである。ISは2014年6月10日に、突如、北イラクの都市モスル制圧で出現したのだ。

ヒラリーの責任は、ベンガジ事件の直後に議会の上院外交委員会でも追及された。「あなたが国務長官としてやったことにたくさんの間違いがあった」と決議までされた。それなのに今も彼女は米大統領候補である。

同時期にエドワード・スノーデン事件が起きている（2013年5月20日）。

CIA職員だったスノーデンがNSA（エヌエスエイ、ナショナル・セキュリティー・エイジェンシー。国家安全保障局）の国家秘密情報を、何十万件もダウンロードして持って香港に逃げた。今は彼はモスクワにいる。この持ち出された秘密情報の中に、ヒラリー・メールも含まれていた。

（副島隆彦注記。　スノーデンは、自分の利用価値がなくなってプーチンから捨てられないように、自分が持ち出した情報の最後の一割とかはまだ隠し持っている。　ヒラリーが不起訴になりそうだ、と知って、７月４日に、「アメリカ司法省に証拠を提出する」として、ヒラリー・メールの一部を公開した。　スノーデンは、徹底的に、アメリカ政府の、ネオコンとムーニーたちの悪事を暴く気である）

このヒラリーのクリス・スティーブンスとの通信文書の中に、「カダフィを殺してしまいなさい」とか、「集めた金の処理をしなさい」という恐ろしい文書がたくさんあったのである。これらが世界中の大手の新聞社に送られてきて大騒ぎになった。

今はICIJ（アイシーアイジェイ、国際調査報道ジャーナリスト連合）という、おかしな「報道の自由（フリーダム・オブ・プレス）を守るフリだけする報道規制の団体」がこれらの文章を、自分たちでも困りはてながら全面流出しないように管理している。

世界中に公開されたことになっているが、実際には読めないようにしている。

国務省（ステイト・デパートメント）は独立監察官（インデペンデント・インスペクター）にこの件を調査させている。FBI長官も、この「ヒラリー公文書メール」のことで、相当本気でヒラリーを犯罪捜査（インヴェステイゲイション）として追及している。

なぜなら、ここでFBI（連邦捜査局）が事態のもみ消しに加担したら、自分たち自身が汚れて国家犯罪を犯したことになるからだ。ヒラリーは必ず喚問summonされる。

だからこの先も、ヒラリーのメール問題は重要である。

ヒラリー派が起こした宮廷革命

下院（ハウス）のベンガジ委員会は、ヒラリーを呼びつけた（召喚、喚問）。公開の聴聞会（パブリック・ヒアリング）も行われた（2015年10月15日）。

ところが、この直前（13日）の民主党候補者横並びの討論会（デベイト）で、ベンガジ事件の責任を問われたヒラリーは、「もう過去のことは忘れて、未来を考えましょう」とぬけぬけと言ってのけたのである。

そして驚いたことに、彼女の隣にいたバーニー・サンダースがヒラリーに同調して肩を持った。サンダースが「もう、こんな問題にいつまでも関わり合っているのはやめよう」と言った・

私はこの時、バーニー・サンダースが嫌いになった。どうもこの時に隠されたクーデターが米政界で実行されたようだ。これを、政治学用語では「宮廷革命」という。

国民には全く知られないように、静かに「夜の軍隊（ナイト・アーミー）」が動く。政治（政府）が乗っ取られる。

ヒラリーを喚問、召喚していた米下院のベンガジ事件特別委員会のトレイ・ガウディ委員長が、ヒラリー攻撃の急先鋒だったのに、突然、発言停止状態になった。ミリガンという黒人議員がガウディを妨害した。

ガウディの同志の米下院で老練な議員のケビン・マッカーシー議員（院内総務。マジョリティ・リーダー）は、次の下院議長になる予定だった。ところがマッカーシーは、「自分は、もう下院議長（ハウス・スピーカー）にはなれない」と情けなさそうに発言した。

マッカーシーが、ジョン・ベイナー下院議長（共に共和党。議会内では多数派）の後釜（あとがま）になると決まっていたのだ。それがひっくりかえされた。そしてポール・ライアンが下院議長になった。「それ以上、政治の裏側の真実を暴いたら、議員たちといえども許さない」という恐ろしい力が、アメリカ政治に襲いかかる。

そして、10月21日にジョー・バイデン副大統領が、「私は大統領選挙に出馬することを断念した」と発表した。この時、横にオバマ大統領が付き添って悲しそうな顔をしていた。それまでオバマは「自分の副大統領は素晴らしい業績を上げた、大変能力のある人物だ」と支持表明していた。オバマはヒラリーが大嫌いなのだ。

アメリカ国民の中からも、“Joe Go, Joe”「ジョー、ゴウ、ジョー」「（大統領選に）出ろ、出ろ、ジョー（バイデン）」の掛け声が上がっていた。にもかかわらず、こんなことになってしまった。バイデンは今も自分が大統領選に出なかった（出られなかった）ことを後悔している。

●「クリントン氏のメール問題、「極めて不注意」も訴追求めず　ＦＢＩ」

米大統領選の民主党候補に確定しているヒラリー・クリントン前国務長官が在任 中の公務に私用のメールアドレスを使っていた問題で、連邦捜査局（ＦＢＩ）の コミー長官は５日、同氏は「極めて不注意」だったと批判しながらも、訴追を求 めないと発表した。

コミー氏は、クリントン氏が国務長官を務めた２００９～１３年、同氏や国務省 職員らが機密度の高い情報を極めて不注意に扱ったと指摘。長時間に及んだ会見 の中で、政府の業務に無防備なメールシステムを使うべきではないことを認識す る必要があったと厳しく注意した。

同氏は一方で、そこに法を犯す意図や重大な過失は認められないとの見解を示した。司法省はこの判断に従い、クリントン氏の訴追を見送る可能性が高い。

私用メール問題は、１２年にリビア東部ベンガジで起きた米領事館襲撃事件をめぐる調査の過程で発覚した。クリントン氏はこれまで、私用のメールアドレスを 公務に使ったことを認める一方、機密扱いの情報を送受信したことはないと主張してきた。

コミー氏によれば、ＦＢＩはクリントン氏が在任中に使っていた複数のサーバーや携帯端末を徹底的に調べた。

その結果、クリントン氏が退任後の１４年に国務省に提出した在任中のメール３万通のうち、５２件のメールのやり取りに含まれた１１０通に、送受信の時点で 機密扱いとされていた情報が含まれていたことが分かった。８件のやり取りには、最高機密に相当する情報も入っていた。

さらに２０００通のメールについては、送受信時点では機密扱いに相当しなかったものの、結果的に機密情報を含んでいたと判定された。

また、職務に関するメールのうち、本人や職員が当時定期的に削除したり、国務省への提出前に弁護団が私的メールとともに誤って消去したりしたデータが、計数千件に上っていたことも判明。このうち３通が機密メールだったという。

しかしコミー氏は、クリントン氏がこれらのメールを意図的に隠そうとした証拠はないと述べた。

メールの内容が敵対国の手に渡った可能性については、クリントン氏のアカウントに直接何者かが侵入した形跡はないとする一方、アカウントに政府の保護がかかっていなかったことや、通信相手のアカウントがハッキングされたケースもあること、クリントン氏がこうした国の領内でもメールを使用していたことを指
摘。「敵対勢力がクリントン氏のアカウントにアクセスした可能性はある」との見方を示した。

同氏は最終的に、過去に同じような状況で立件に至った例はないとの理由で、クリントン氏の訴追を求めない判断を下したと明言。政治とは無関係に公正な捜査をした結果だと強調した。

ＦＢＩの判断が出たことにより、クリントン氏は選挙戦のさなかに訴追されるという事態を免れる見通しになった。クリントン陣営の報道官は「すでに本人も認めている通り、私用メールアドレスを使ったのは間違いだった。我々はこの件が 解決したことに満足している」と述べた。

一方、共和党候補に確定している実業家ドナルド・トランプ氏らは、コミー氏から厳しい注意があったことに注目し、クリントン氏への追及を改めて強める構えだ。

トランプ氏は「体制は仕組まれている。極めて不公平だ」とツイートした。また「「敵対勢力はほぼ間違いなくヒラリー・クリントン氏をゆすりにくるだろう」とも述べて、大統領には不適格だとした。

ライアン下院議長は「訴追を見送れば恐ろしい前例をつくることになる」と主張。共和党全国委員会のプリ―バス委員長はＣＮＮとのインタビューで、「コミー氏の会見は刑事訴追の結論を予想させる内容だった」と語った。

Hillary Clinton may not face charges over her email practices as secretary of state, but she may not be in the clear just yet.

FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday that “no charges are appropriate” against linton for her handling of classified information on private email servers. The Department of Justice will make the final call on prosecution.

While she may not see charges, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee will face even more scrutiny after Comey’s assessment of her practices.

Comey said Clinton and her team were “extremely careless,” but added that there was not clear evidence that they intended to violate the law.
That appears to clash with Clinton’s view of her habits, as she replied “no” when asked by CNBC in March if her email practices were sloppy.

“There was not a single one of those that was marked classified,” she said.

However, Comey said the investigation showed that 110 emails in 52 email chains were determined to include classified information at the time they were received.

Clinton and her staff could have violated certain laws even if they did not intend to do so, said Jacob Frenkel, a former Department of Justice attorney. He said possible ignorance or negligence can still lead to charges in some cases.

“I think the Department of Justice senior prosecutors certainly can review this. And I think there is a basis for the Department of Justice to come to a different conclusion,” he told CNBC’s “Squawk Alley.”

In a statement after Comey’s remarks, a Clinton spokesman said the campaign is “pleased” with the announcement.

“As the Secretary has long said, it was a mistake to use her personal email and she would not do it again. We are glad that this matter is now resolved,” the statement said.

Reactions from Clinton’s Republican opponents also showed they may use the FBI’s findings as attack fodder even if she is not charged.
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump seized on Comey’s assessment as more evidence of a “rigged” political system.

In a statement, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said the findings “are a glaring indictment of Hillary Clinton’s complete lack of judgment, honesty and preparedness to be our next commander in chief.”

The Clinton campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the differences between her comments to CNBC in March and the conclusions of the FBI investigation.

このためＦＢＩは本人の聴取も踏まえ今月開かれる党大会までに情報の管理に違法性がなかったかどうかなどについて結論を出すものとみられています。仮にクリントン氏が訴追されるような事態に発展すれば、選挙戦に大きな影響を与えるだけに捜査の行方が注目されています。

トランプ氏「クリントン氏の立件を」
ＦＢＩがクリントン前国務長官の事情聴取を行ったことを受けて、共和党の指名 獲得を確実にしているトランプ氏は２日、みずからのツイッターで「ＦＢＩがク リントン氏を立件しないということはありえない。

彼女がしたことは間違いだ」 と述べ、クリントン氏は立件されるべきだと主張しました。そのうえで、先週、夫のビル・クリントン元大統領がＦＢＩを監督する立場の司法長官と会っていたことについて、「ビルがしたことは、ばかげている」として、クリントン元大統領の行動も批判しました。

Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte said in a statement that the FBI’s

Attorney General Loretta Lynch will be testifying next week on the
federal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, House Republicans
announced Wednesday.

Lynch is slated to testify before the House Judiciary Committee next
Tuesday, the panel announced － her second testimony before the panel
since becoming the nation’s top law enforcement official last year.

Her testimony will come just days after Republicans have FBI director
James Comey testify on Capitol Hill regarding the FBI’s decision
announced Tuesday to not recommend criminal charges for Clinton over her
email use as secretary of State.

Comey became the public face of the federal investigation and announced
the decision by himself Tuesday, after a week of furor over Lynch’s
private meeting with former President Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac
in Phoenix.

Lynch said the email investigation did not come up in her 30-minute
impromptu meeting with the former president, though Republicans and some
Democrats blasted the appearance of the meeting. Lynch responded to
criticism last week by saying she’d accept the recommendation from the

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has
blasted the timing of Lynch’s meeting a week before the FBI’s conclusion
was announced. He also went after President Obama for campaigning with
Hillary Clinton on Tuesday, the day of Comey’s announcement.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said Wednesday
that the FBI’s decision not to recommend charges against Clinton “raises
serious questions” and is “uniquely troubling in light of Attorney
General Lynch’s secret meeting with former President Bill Clinton.”

“No one is above the law and the American people need to know that
federal law enforcement is taking this misconduct seriously,” Goodlatte
said in a statement, saying the hearing would also focus on the Justice
Department’s handling of the Orlando, Fla., and San Bernardino, Calif.,
shooting attacks.

“I look forward to hearing from Attorney General Lynch and learning more
about how she and the Justice Department are addressing these important
issues,” he said.

She can’t help herself. Even yesterday, with the political world fixated on her meeting with FBI agents, Hillary Clinton had her flack mislead the public.
A spokesman said she gave a “voluntary” interview, which is true only because she agreed to talk instead of waiting to be subpoenaed. The flack also said she was “pleased” to assist the gumshoes.

Who believes she was “pleased” to be interviewed by the FBI in a criminal investigation that could upend her life?
But that’s the way the Clintons roll.
Wherever they go, whatever they do, ethics are trashed and suspicions of criminal conduct follow them like night follows day.
It’s who they are and it’s self-delusional to believe another stint in the White House would make the Clintons better people. Power exacerbates rather than cures an absence of integrity.

Yet there’s another dimension to their chronic crookedness, and it gets insufficient attention even though it might be more important to the nation’s well-being.
It is that, in addition to being personally corrupt, the Clintons are corrupters. They are piggish users, with the people and institutions around them inevitably tarnished and sometimes destroyed even as the Clintons escape to their next scam.

Monica Lewinsky is a prime example, and Loretta Lynch is the latest. The attorney general’s dumbfounding decision to meet privately with Bill Clinton while the FBI investigates Hillary’s handling of national secrets stained Lynch’s reputation and added to public mistrust of the Justice Department.

Lynch didn’t create that mistrust － she was supposed to be the antidote. Her predecessor, Eric Holder, was a left-wing activist who used his role as the nation’s chief law-enforcement officer to further his and Obama’s political agenda.

That role earned Holder an undesired distinction. His refusal to cooperate with Congress on the disastrous Fast and Furious gun sting led to a bipartisan vote in the House holding him in criminal contempt, the first time in history a sitting Cabinet member ever faced such a censure.

Lynch, as his successor, was handily confirmed by the Republican-controlled Senate, with her steady, firm demeanor and solid record as a prosecutor carrying the day.

Yet her lifetime of good work and the hope for a fresh start at Justice are now overshadowed. She acknowledges the meeting with Bill Clinton was a mistake, and pledged to accept the recommendation of FBI agents and career prosecutors on whether Hillary should face charges.　That’s not enough, not nearly enough, given the circumstances and stakes.

While Lynch offers no explanation as to why in the world she agreed to the 30-minute meeting on a plane in Phoenix, perhaps she felt she owed the former president something. Remember, he first nominated her to be the US attorney in Brooklyn in 1999, a promotion that changed her life.

After his presidency, she went to a top private law firm, and became a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Bill Clinton had been very, very good to her, and without his boost, she probably wouldn’t even have been a candidate to replace Holder.rAnd now her patron wanted a private meeting. Both had to know it was wrong, but he had nothing to lose and didn’t care about her reputation or the Justice Department’s.

That was her responsibility. And it doesn’t really matter if they didn’t discuss the case. Just his being there was reminder enough that she owes him.
Lynch also had to know that an FBI agent who socialized with the spouse of a suspect in a criminal case probably would be investigated and fired. Yet she agreed to the meeting anyway.

Despite Lynch’s vow to let others make the call, her refusal to recuse herself means she will remain in charge. That was never ideal because Obama endorsed Hillary and all but exonerated her, but there seemed no way to argue for a special prosecutor without more evidence that the outcome was rigged. There was also FBI Director James Comey’s reputation as an independent straight shooter to provide some reassurance that the case would be handled on the merits.

Now Lynch has broken that fragile confidence, and the need for a special prosecutor is obvious.
The explosive result shows the Clintons haven’t lost their touch for leaving destruction and chaos in their wake. The remarkable events also serve as a clear reminder that while the Clintons enriched themselves over the years, they were helping to bankrupt the public trust in its government and institutions. And they won’t stop until they’re stopped.
